This two days course is designed for students who would like to learn Tambour Beading embroidery.
You will be introduced to the tambour hook and how to control in all directions through the fabric.You will initially use the chain stitch and how to cast on and off the fabric.Later, more professional aspects will be introduced including beads and sequins.
Following a recap of how to tambour the seed beads and bugles, you will also learn how to stitch « en riviere » basic stitching for the sequins.
We will work up to creating a small flower with silver smooth purl and Swarovski Crystals
The aim of this tambour beading class is for you to feel comfortable using the hook and how to apply beads and sequins to be ready to move on to the next level.
The class is pitched towards beginner students and the limited class size will allow you to develop at your own pace with plenty of one to one time with the tutor.
This class includes a full kit with white silk organza, Tambour Hook holder and needle, seed beads, bugles beads, sequins, silver smooth purl and Swarovski crystals.
Please bring with you for the class: A round hoop, 8 or 10 inch (with a stand if you can, so that you can use both hands). If so, then wrapped with webbing around one circle to protect and maintain the tension of the fabric).
