STEPHANIE BONNEAU
Bespoke embroidery- Cheshire based Atelier Saint Clare was founded by Stephanie Bonneau, an embroidery artist and expert tutor. Born in France, Stephanie always wanted to be an embroiderer and after graduating from embroidery school she realised her passion. Throughout her career, Stephanie has worked for prestigious embroidery houses in Paris such as Atelier Lesage, Atelier Cecil Henry, Atelier Hurel. Here Stephanie was involved in tambour beading and hand embroidery for various collections including Chanel, Christian Dior, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Armani and Givenchy.
Stephanie moved to London to work for the world known embroidery atelier Hand & Lock. Through hard work, she quickly gained the role of head embroiderer managing a team and working on bespoke embroidery projects herself. She work on prestigious projects such as The Queens Diamond Jubilee and The 2012 London Olympic Games as an examples. After 5 years at Hand & Lock, Stephanie wanted to create her own atelier to create her own embroidery. She also wanted to transfer her knowledge and create a school. She created Ecole Saint Clare to bring a specialised training in the north of England.

Stephanie is also working as an embroidery designer for Ralph and Russo creating beautiful swatches for their exquisites clients and new collections.
Her knowledge and skills is also requested in house such as Burberry and Alexander McQueen.
Stephanie travels in the UK and internationally including Canada and the United States to deliver day classes and master classes.
She divides her time between creating new pieces, bespoke commissions and teaching.
